The Interfaith Foundation of Marion County, Inc. recently announced its Board of Directors. Joining the Interfaith Foundation board are Carol Alvey, Carl Bergeson, Chap Dinkins, Bill Futch, Mary Lou James, Sandy McBride,Kevin McDonald, Mark O’Connell and Mary Williams.
“I am proud to have the opportunity to work with and serve such an outstanding group of community leaders” said Mike Mangan, the Executive Director of the Interfaith Foundation. “Each of these individuals has shown a true heart for helping those most needy within our community and have a strong appreciation for the role that Interfaith plays in this area.”
The Interfaith Foundation is a 501C-3 non-profit corporation established to provide additional support and financial resources to the mission of Interfaith Emergency Services. Serving Marion County since 1983, Interfaith Emergency Services provides emergency assistance of food, clothing and shelter to individuals and families in need. Clients are referred to Interfaith by churches, synagogues, and public service agencies for assistance. In 2009 Interfaith Emergency Services, through outreach and services touched the lives of more than 150,000 individuals in Marion County.
